Hermann Blank has been advising H2-Enterprises since 2021 and moved to the Advisory Board in 2022. In this role, he is consulting H2-Enterprises in process engineering, large scale project and business development areas. Hermann holds the degree of a Graduated Engineer in Process Engineering, acquired at Nuremberg Institute of Technology Georg Simon Ohm, Germany. He served for more than 30 years in Corporate Engineering, Operations, Technical Services and Technical Procurement and Logistics roles for WACKER, a global specialty chemicals producer.
He has held management positions in several countries in the EU, Asia, and USA, with a focus on Engineering, Technical Service and Maintenance Organizations and Project Risk Management. His expertise has contributed to the successful completion of numerous complex, large scale engineering projects. Prior to his work for H2-Enterprises, he served as the Vice President Project Poly 11 and VP Corporate Engineering, US. In that capacity, he was responsible for the technical scope of construction, startup, and capacity ramp of the $ 2.5 billion investment project “Poly 11” in Charleston, TN with a production capacity of more than 20,000 tons per year of hyperpure Polysilicon for semiconductor and solar customers.
